Most of us have been raised in this
rigorous, squared and mathematical way of thinking and acting which is supposed
to make us become the reasonable adult we currently are… or were meant to
be (depending on our life choices). And this indeed, has its good sides. This
is what makes us able to make the difference between good and bad. This is what
promotes a certain safe and intelligent social interaction. At least, seen from the outside.

And nothing is wrong about this. Nothing
at all. Except if being a Leader is what you are looking for. Because being a
Leader -be it of a company or to begin with, or Leader of your own life-, requests to
rethink the use of some life concepts and points of view. It requests to switch
on to the “common sense” mindset rather than on the “logical” one.
Why?
Well, because logic and science are about
rationality. They are about pragmatic data, facts and figures. Science and
logic are a fixed pragmatic and mathematic process requiring evidences.
Science and logic are more focused on
details and on specificity.
Therefore, most of the people having
followed years of studying use this logical side of their brain to think, to
talk and to do things. It even happens that they consider every single thing
they have been taught as a gospel truth, with few possibilities for different
points of view. Simply because this is what they have been shaped in. And
the longer the years of studying, the deeper incrusted this mindset.
While common sense rather is about
“feeling it right”. It is about “natural feelings” like intuition, sensitivity,
instinct… about all these qualities required to “sniff out” business, right
moments, right people to work with, right way to act in each particular
circumstance, right opportunities, and all of this in the frame of a Natural
Life Process (NLP).
Logic is more about specific details, common sense is more about globality.
Logic is more about specific details, common sense is more about globality.

When logic is analysis, common
sense is deduction.
Because common sense leads to testing new ideas, checking other
realities behind what is being taught, exploring, taking risks, developing a
“why not “ option and open possibilities mindset, in the respect of a
Natural Life Process.
Consequently, when you know that the
success is based on a free, open and unpredictable process (in terms of issue,
circumstances, options, solutions, etc.) requiring a strong adaptability
competence, you understand that the people who are more likely to achieve
success are the ones following the same life mindset and approach.
Science and logic do not really comply
with openness, instinct or adaptability. Common sense does.
Science does not consider the mathematic
Rules of life because it does not have any evidence about it. On the contrary,
these mathematic Rules of life (as all these little things which do make sense,
only because it follows an unexplainable life and a natural process), precisely are what common sense is based on.
And this is all what success is made of. ©
