Everybody will tell
you: success needs a vision to begin with. But having a vision, dreaming or
hoping our projects, no matter how hard, is not enough. Because all the rest after the
vision drafting, is a succession of little tries entertained during a certain
period of time. Because each one of these tries relates the story of your
personal efforts AND the story of your success.
Because every success is
not necessarily a success story. And if most of the success stories are made of
little personal victories, the real ones are the stories involving patience,
hard work, personal commitment and perseverance. “If it’s not hard then it is not big enough!”
quoted Robin Sharma, one of the top 5 personal development coaches in the world.
This is why “success”
based or facilitated by inheritance, marriage or charm are totally artificial, and thus not meant to last in the long run. Because most of the Natural life
process steps to success have been shortcut.
There is a French
quotes that says “Rome was not built in one day”. Just the same way that the
great love and friendship relationships were not settled in a glance but after
a millions little tries, smiles and hellos. And the little embryo has been
through thousands of daily little progressions before becoming the cute baby
who will as well, have his/her own lot of little efforts to do before finding
his/her place in this world.
"If it's not hard enough, then it's not big enough!", Robin Sharma |
The real success
model is thus the one involving a million efforts. Bob Marley and Michael Jackson
have composed, erased and re written a thousand rimes before finding the ones
that power pushed them. Nadal has tried a thousand tennis balls before getting
known in the world tennis tournaments.
With the time
going, some efforts are getting easier and more funny. But they still are efforts.
From this point,
there are neither “good opportunities” nor miraculous recipes for success.
There are just some daily efforts to provide for finding clients, working on a strategy,
learning about these things we never heard about and yet are crucial to our
project, etc.
Until the first signs of interest on our project, the first
questions, the first orders, the first moments of joy and pride.
The harder the efforts, the better our satisfaction. |
And then one day, while
still learning… you finally get there.
And when you turn
back to understand how it worked out, you realize that it was nothing but a
succession of little daily tries.
This is what feeds
the real authentic success stories, the ones that go beyond time and
continents. ©
