If Life outweighs death, then it outweighs everything else.

And everything includes –without the list being exhaustive-, losses, physical or mental disabilities or defaults, fights, including the long term ones, diseases, heartbreaks, betrayals including from our closest ones, jobless periods, red budget periods and any other kind of difficulties that we always consider on the moment, as insurmountable.

None of the above situations is important compared to the fact of being alive and having around us these peoples that are dear to us, alive as well.

And if besides this, you are in a good health, if you can see the sun, the flowers, the clouds, the people you love, if you can appreciate the smell of the cooking rice, if you can feel your dog’s hair with your hands, the caress of your mother, if you can hear the rain fall, the music you like and the voice of your mother calling you, if you can remind these things that you have lived, if you can  imagine and draw in your mind as in the reality the ones that you wish to live… and if in addition, you have the opportunity to be surrounded by caring people who love, trust and believe in you, then before even planning to complain, learn to remember that if you have the chance to be alive, it is because Life has planned for you a thousand chances to face what is still waiting for you on the way in order to allow you to live your dreams.

So at each moment of your life, whenever you are playing, breathing, looking at things or feeling things and emotions, each one of your gestures, each slightest thing that you feel, see or hear is just the result of the dynamic and move of billion particles, cells and molecules. And this is the demonstration of one capital thing : YOU ARE ALIVE!

You have this wonderful capacity of breathing, to see things, to hear sounds, to feel emotions, to think, to do things. Living is something so powerfully magic, fantastic and wonderful that it is, to my perception, the most beautiful gift to humankind ever. And being aware of this is already an act of gratitude for it.

As mother, there are countless times where you made turn mad with your tempestuous and intense character, doing only what was forbidden. These times my energy was so low and my tolerance rate so feeble that I ton my brain a billion times wondering how to make you understand these things I needed you to. There were times when I even wanted to shake you up a hundred times until you said or did what you were supposed to answer or to do, and in the way you were meant to do it. And all these times, the only fact of looking at you so alive (no matter how important the values or lessons I needed you to understand, and no matter what top my anger or despair reached at these moments) was enough to remind me that nothing was more important than just seeing life blossoming through you. In each one of your mood, emotions, in your laughter and passion, in your flame or in your sleep, each single one of these moments were proofs of you being alive, and this is enough to fill me with happiness.

Actually, to the risk of being treated as bad mother, children may have all the imperfections and failings of the world, as long as they are alive, happy and having their thoughts and aspiration matching to their reality, or at least being able to think it, nothing else in the world can be more important.

When you have lost some dear ones in your life, sometimes many of them on a short period, this is a point of view that you understand in a particular way.

This is why today in my conception of life, there is LIFE. And all the rest is accessory. ©
